Alright, Its me, Kyle. and I’m here to hit you off with a new weekly series. It’s called Unexpected Hip-Hop. Where we scour the papers and interwebs for unique stories, occurances, people, and maybe even inanimate objects that I feel got a little bit of unexpected hip-hop to them. Each week, prepare to be blown away with the selections I bring forth. If you have your own entry ideas, send them in to the email machine. Without further ado, here is this week’s entry of Unexpected Hip-Hop.

Recently Bill Gates released a swarm of mosquitos to prove a point about malaria or some shit during a lecture at the TED seminars. For this, he earns the first appearance on unexpected hip-hop for doing something only the richest motherfucker around could get away with. Being rich enough to prove your point with an angry swarm of insects is hip-hop.

Today’s addition to my Favorite Music video canon is Marc Klasfeld’s video for Juvenile’s “Ha”. This was the first song a lot of people heard from Juvie, and is one of those rare videos that helped break the artist as much as the song itself.
Something I forgot to post over that I saw over at 2dopeboyz. Over the classic Outkast beat, Both Nice ( 6th Sense and Wildabeat) go in.
